Landlord materials

Tenant management can be as good for landlords as it is for tenants.  Many landlords find that standards go up when tenants get involved with managing their housing, which leads to new levels of co-operation.

We’d like to help you tell your tenants about their management options and help you through the process of responding to a right-to-manage notice or statement of intent.

We are currently developing some useful materials with the Local Authority Co-operative Officers Group (LACOG).  Please contact us if you want to contribute to these. In the meantime, you can order free copies of a promotional leaflet and poster from us by e mailing tenantempowerment@tsa.gsx.gov.uk  (see a preview).  We are always happy to help landlords with tenant control issues, so please contact us if you have any questions.

LACOG can give individual advice to landlords and their tenants.  Contact martin.kovats@southwark.gov.uk.

Finally, you can get some useful information on the IDeA website, including a very good case study from Southwark - to find it, search the IDeA site by typing in "promoting tenant empowerment" (include the quotation marks).
