Welcome to the section of our website that deals with the Tenant Empowerment Programme (TEP). Here you will find general information on tenant control and details of the grants available to you.
What is the TEP?
Our Tenant Empowerment Programme allows local authority and housing association tenants to get independent advice, training and information to challenge, influence or control how your landlord provides housing services to their communities. Local authority tenants have a legal right to manage their own homes. Surveys show that tenant satisfaction is usually higher where tenants manage or have community ownership of their own housing. See the survey details.
These pages provide more information about the Tenant Empowerment Programme for tenants, landlords and other stakeholders, whether you are new to tenant management or are already actively involved with it.
