Welcome to the section of the TSA’s website that deals with all aspects of the Tenant Empowerment Programme (TEP). Here you will find general information on tenant control and details of grants available.
What is the TEP?
The TSA’s Tenant Empowerment Programme enables local authority and housing association tenants to gain independent advice, training and information to challenge, influence or control how housing services are delivered to their communities. Local Authority tenants have a legal right to manage their own homes and housing association residents have a voluntary route to tenant management. Surveys show that tenant satisfaction is generally higher where tenants have taken on the management or community ownership of their own housing. See the survey details.
These pages provide more information about the Tenant Empowerment Programme for tenants, landlords and other stakeholders, whether you are new to tenant management or already actively involved with it.
