NROSH 2009/10
The National Register of Social Housing (NROSH) is a property database developed by Communities and Local Government and the Tenant Services Authority to collect information about all social rented and affordable housing units in England at individual property level.
When complete it will contain comprehensive information on each of the four million homes in England currently owned and/or managed by registered social landlords (RSLs) and local authorities (LAs).
NROSH uses specially-designed software to extract data directly from the systems of social landlords. This provides a single and consistent source of detailed information on social housing stock, which is substantially more flexible, accurate and frequent than current sources. As NROSH data is based on individual properties it can be used and analysed in for any defined geographical area.
If you are looking for the "NROSH Data Standards" as signposted in the Getting Started Guide, please note that the information can now be found under the two new sections, "NROSH Data Field Definitions" and "NROSH XML schema".
